We are building a social media platform to help organize and connect the members of each School Village. This system is being built at www.myschoolvillage.org. We hope to have it functional by the end of the first quarter 2015. Check out the beta version by the end of February 2015.

Interested individuals or groups within each School Village will be able to establish and manage their own group under this site. The platform will help to improvement interactions and awareness. Local businesses can be recruited to help supply benefits, especially to welcome new residents to the area, The Welcome Wagon.

A recent report by Annie E. Casey Foundation stated that only five percent low-income working families with children received all of the benefits available to them under SNAP, childcare, and Medicaid. We plan to facilitate member families getting more complete access to community resources that are available to them.

We hope that various individuals in each School Village will become mentors or guides to help others access available resources in the community. Members can add and update information on any topic that can help make member lives better.
