FAQs
Donor
The family has a young daughter who has been diagnosed with Autism. They discovered the online ASD Reading Program and had their daughter work on the program. They have seen such remarkable results that they wish to share this success with families who cannot afford the program.
ASD Reading
ASD Reading was designed by Dr. Marion Blank, a professor at Columbia University. Dr. Blank is a developmental psychologist with a specialization in language (both spoken and written) and learning. She has developed literacy programs for children with learning disabilities including children with ASD (autistic spectrum disorder), who do not speak. She is the author of the book entitled Spectacular Bond: Reaching the Child with Autism.

Scholarship criteria
Scholarships are available to families who qualify for the federal school-lunch program and have a child who has been diagnosed on the autism spectrum. The program is delivered online which requires access to a computer or tablet with a high-speed Internet connection.
Minimum training requirements
To be effective, students need to train a minimum of 15-20 minutes daily at least 4-5 days per week. More training within reason is encouraged to see faster results. Consistency is very important. Students should be able to complete the program within one year.
How to apply
The Reading Success Movement is responsible for implementation of the Scholarship Program. We primarily team with organizations that serve families with children who need this type of special training. Each partner organization will screen and select qualified candidates.
If your organization has clients who could benefit from this program, please contact us. If you are a family who would like to participate but do not belong to a participating organization, please fill out the contact form below.
